Meet at the Fas Gas? http://triathlonsaskatoon.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1336407886/0#0 STCI Bulletin Board/Questions,  Answers,  Opinions. http://triathlonsaskatoon.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1336407886/0#0 Calling All STCI members!  Sign up now and be close to the action!<br />It’s that time of year again where the days are getting longer and the sun is shining and we’re back on the bikes & time to race.<br />Bikes on Broadway is celebrating its 22nd Annual Stage Race and is requesting your help to make this event a spectacular success that the cycling community can be proud of. <br />This event takes place over the Victoria Day long weekend, May 19 – 21, 2012.  The races consist of three fantastic stages in and around Saskatoon. <br />Stage 1 - May 19       Time Trial - Spadina Crescent (Anaerobic suffering is fun to watch!!)<br />Stage 2 – May 20       Road Race – Biggar, SK (neutral zones?...ya right!!)<br />Stage 3 – May 21       Criterium – Broadway Avenue (like Stock car racing...but just less sane...)<br />As the largest road bicycle race in Saskatchewan and one of the largest in western Canada, attending Bikes on Broadway on the May long weekend has become an institution for competitive cyclists throughout the Prairie Provinces.  It is a very exciting time for our local cyclists!<br />If you helped out last year, we look forward to your support again this year. And, if you have not helped out in the past, it is a great way to see the race up close.  <br />We will hold a Volunteer meeting on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Doug’s Spoke & Sport to review volunteer duties.  Each volunteer is given a gift as a token of our appreciation, & this years is awesome.<br />There are numerous volunteer positions to be filled. I will be representing Canada and the University of Saskatchewan. <br /><br />I am holding a pasta night to raise some money as the event is not funded by Triathlon Canada and is going to cost about $4,000.
